Buselaphi Gxowa is a female Maskandi musician from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She came from the Maskandi group Imithente (named after a kind of grass that grows in rural KwaZulu Natal). The band was formed in 1993 by late guitarist, Simosakhe Mthalane, and had an additional two female singers, Dumisile Manana and Nokwazi Ntuli, also from KwaZulu-Natal. Imithente produced several albums attaining gold sales in their home country and won SAMA and SATMA awards.
